description

I followed all instructions in the video to install the Aspose WebApp and the Aspose CRM Solution. Configured Aspose in CRM2015, created a document template but still get the error "Could not load file or assembly 'Aspose.Words, Version=15.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=716fcc553a201e56' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

Installed Aspose.Words_16.3.0 on the CRM server assuming this component was needed but no difference. I am stuck, what am I doing wrong?

Hello,

Please copy the aspose.words dll from installation folder to the bin of WebApp and try again.

Please also share what Add on you are trying to use, so we can help you resolve the issue.

Thank you

Hi,

I am trying to test the "Aspose .NET OneClick Word Document Generator (1.0.0.2015) Managed" solution. CRM2015 and the Aspose WebApp are installed on the same testserver, both without SSL. I work parttime on this project and will not have the opportunity to test until Friday.

Hello Roel,

We have tested the managed solution, it is installed and working properly.

You may need to download Aspose.Words for .NET from http://www.aspose.com/downloads/words-family/net
Then copy the dll in the bin folder of the web app.

Let us know, if you face any other difficulty and we are happy to help.

Hi,

OK, it works now with Aspose.Words.dll version 15.3.0.0. The manual and the video about the installation do not mention this step at all, it's a bit pointless to have a manual which lacks essential information.

I thought this was a free solution but the resulting document says
"Evaluation Only. Created with Aspose.Words. Copyright 2003-2015 Aspose Pty Ltd."
What's the catch here?

regards,
Roel

Hi Roel,

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry for the inconvenience.

We have fixed our package and documentation with clear instructions on how and where to add Aspose.Words for .NET API.

The Plugin itself is free and open source however it uses Aspose.Words for .NET in the back-end which is a commercial product, evaluation versions with time restricted limitations are available for use with this Plugin. Terms and conditions apply.

Best Regards,
Aspose Source Code Team
